| Below is a list of most of the new functionnality available in version 6: |
DrillDraw version 6 adds functionnality to DrillDraw version 5 without modifying any of it's ease of use, it's basic functionnal concept or it's stability. Drills and practice plans are compatible and can be exchanged between version 5 and version 6 users.

| Multiple sports : DrillDraw can now be used with a dozen different sports |
|
- This includes each sport's specific playing surface and layout options
and for some of them their specific drawing objects.

| Multiple playing surface drill templates: |
|
- Now supports drill templates with multiple playing surfaces, multiple description text boxes etc... |
| Template editor (add-on module - additional purchase required): |
|
- This new add-on module enables users to create their own drill templates and practice plan headers or simply modify an existing one.
- Templates can be of any size, contain any amount of text boxes of any size, any amount of playing surfaces of any size, same for description boxes, key points etc...
- New ZOOM feature enables users to create drill templates which zoom on any portion of a playing surface and also to control the size of the drawing elements. |
| Drill Search function (Pro only): |

- Search function enables users to search their drill banks or practice plans for drills with a specific title, category, key point etc... or any combination of each. |
| New Drill editing functions: |
|
- new symbols and drawing tools ; "pivot right" symbol is now available to complement the existing "pivol left" symbol.
- improved free hand line drawing; "line smoothing" is applied to free-hand drawn lines to revome the little edges and shooth out the sharp corners. Additional smoothing can be applied after the line is drawn by the user.
- the entire drawing or only selected parts of it can be rotated (cw or ccw) and/or flipped (horizontal or vertical).
- each "Draw tool box quick text buttons" can now be individually configured.
- each drill window can now be maximized to full screen at the click of a button.

| New Practice plan editing functions: |
|
- easily move drills around within a practice plan; new toolbar buttons allow users to move drills up and down within a practice plan without having to delete and re-insert the drills (Pro only).
- drills can now be added to an open practice plan directly from the DrillDraw portal without having to first save to drill to a drill bank.
- open a drill already in a practice plan for editing and put it back in the plan without having to first save to a drill bank etc... (Pro only)
- possible to remove only one sequence of a multi-sequence drill from a practice plan (instead of the whole drill). |
| Drill explorer (Pro only): |

- The drill preview is now embedded with the Drill Explorer window and can be easily turned On/Off . |
| Automatic backup reminder : |
|
- A configurable automatic backup reminder is now available to help users remember to occasionnaly create a backup file of their drills and practice plans. |

| Calendar/Scheduler (add-on module): |
|
- This new add-on module will enables users to plan their practice time, game time, meetings etc... using a calendar type interface
- Create an "attendee" list for each scheduler items
- Send emails to attendees automatically
- Attach drills or practice plans to scheduler items
- Enter games results and player stats for each game in the scheduler
