How do I send or receive a drill or a practice plan by email? |

DrillDraw Version 5
You can now send drills and practice plans by electronic mail (email) to friends directly from within DrillDraw.
To do so, click on the Email button then select between three option, DrillDraw format, Image format or PDF format. If you are sending a drill or practice plan in DrillDraw format, the recipient will need to have DrillDraw installed on his computer to Import the file and visualize its content.(this will not work with the trial version).
DrillDraw Version 4
It is easy to send drills and practice plans by electronic mail (email). The recipient will needs a registered version of DrillDraw to Import the file and visualize its content.
First export the drill(s) or practice by clicking on the button. Give the file a name and select (and note) the location (drive and folder). Start your email application and attach the file that you just exported. Enter an email address and send it.
The receiver will be able to Import the content of the file by either A) clicking on the file icon and selecting "Open file" or B) save the file on disk and import the file from within the application.

I want to replace my old computer by a newer one. I will then need to re-install DrillDraw on my new computer but I don't want to have to pay for another Registration code. What do I need to do to transfer my Registered version of DrillDraw to another computer (version 4 only)? |

Before you start please make a backup of all your drills and practice plans. Click here to learn how to create a backup.
1- You first need to uninstall DrillDraw using the "Add/Remove Programs" function from your Windows control panel. 2- During the uninstallation process a Transfer code will be generated. You can then use this transfer code to receive a free Registration code for your new installation.
3- Install DrillDraw on the new computer and send us an email at : support@drilldraw.com and specify your name, transfer code and new Installation code.
4- Once we receive your transfer code and new Installation code, we will then send you a Registration code (normally within 24 hours).

Would it be possible to create a practice sheet header that contains different text than what is currently available or a header with no text at all and text could be added manually? |

It is currently possible to modify all the text in the header section even the text that is already there. So you can customize the header to what you like and then save the practice and use it as your template. You can then use it to start your new practice sheets. Different header templates (without the table and different text area sizes for example) will be available in a near future.

Do I need to pay each time I download and install a newer version of the software? |

Software upgrades up to the latest 4.17 upgrades are free. Upgrade from version 4 to version 5 is not free. Note that software updates to correct problems (bugs) with a specific version will always be free.

How do I create a backup of all my drills and practices in case my computer needs to be formated or I need to transfer all to a new computer? |

To create a backup file:
1. Click on the "tools" menu then select "create backup". From here select what you want to backup, just the drills, just the practice plans or both.
2. Then copy the backup file onto a CD, diskette or any other storage device.
Restore a backup file:
To restore your drills and practice plans click on the "tools" menu then select "restore from backup", locate the file, then click the "retore" button. (*** this will not work if you are in demo mode, you must enter an access code or a registration code before you can proceed with the restore).
